It's been April shower weather here today (yes, I know it's May), heavy downpours one minute and bright sunshine the next.

Lovely blue skies here now but was lashing it down during the school run this morning. I looked very cool walking home with a Peppa Pig umbrella.

Well keep them at bay until after the weekend please. I arrive tomorrow, and I'm not good with the cold and damp these days.

Forecast is fabulous for the Bank Holiday. Light winds, blue skies. I'm looking out towards France now, it looks much like the Med, except the surfers are wearing steamer wetsuits.

Cold and windless here. Sat on the boat for 2 hours, anchored, racing postponed waiting for wind. It did finally fill in, we were really cold by that time. You put gear on expecting to be active, sitting still is unusual. However, as OH and I are 19 stone between us, we are light wind specialists. The crew who won Cowes week in one like ours last year were 55 stone between 3. It was seriously windy though.

Had some really bright lightning last night at about midnight. Flashes lasting for about 3 or four seconds, followed by long rumbles of thunder.
