Just finished reading Ben Elton's Past Mortem. Excellent - a proper page turner that I couldn't put down. Definitely recommend it.

I've had a very fallow period for the last couple of years. Started loads of books and not been able to get past the first chapter but got my mojo back now. Read three in the last couple of weeks :)

    Brighton Rock.

A dark and murky tale of crime, poverty and unrequited love, set in 1930's Brighton.

Not one to bring a smile to your face at all, but compelling. Didn't want to put it down.

The Handmaid's Tale, great book, really dark.
