Tyson Fury fighting live on Channel 5 tonight at 8.45pm.

Watched his last fight. Decent up and coming British boxer. Worth a look.

    RIP 'Smokin' Joe Frazier.

A warrior from a different era.

Chris Eubank's son (Chris Jr) fought and won by TKO on saturday night. Looks like a promising prospect.

Tyson Fury got caught with a blinder on Saturday didn't he? The guy put him on his arse. I'm just watching the "Thriller in Manila" again in ESPN Sky Anytime. It never fails to amaze me in terms of just how good these guys were, and how much better the quality of fights were. Most of these exchanges would have signalled the end of the fight in modern boxing, as the ref would have jumped in, but they just went on, and on, and on, and on...

    Incredible.

That fight was something else. For a big man Ali had incredibly fast reflexes. Both of them - especially Ali took some terrific shots.

    And FIFTEEN rounds.

    Proper fighters.

And Fury - let's face it - I don't think he'll last two minutes against anyone who's any good. Not the way he is at the moment anway.

    Muhammad Ali/Cassius Clay.
I remember years ago there was a computer analysis of a virtual fight between Rocky Marciano and Ali/Clay.

Putting in all the data of every fight they both ever had ., it predicted that Marciano would have won. (over, I forget how many rounds)

This of course assumed that both were in their prime., Not after Ali's enforced 'retirement' for a couple of years.

I always found this interesting because to me Ali was the greatest but Marciano did not have the same coverage or media presence.
And of course they never met, in a bout.Which would have been to me, spellbinding to watch.

But there is no doubt that Marciano was also a 'greatest' before boxers used hype.
And Marciano had no 'stage presence' ., he apparently when asked , did it all for "Mumma".

Having tried to find it on the web, everyone is now saying Clay would win.

So I must be wrong ., but it is niggling me.No reason for me to say otherwise. Mmmmm.
I must have read/seen/heard it somewhere.
